Film developing and scanning in The Hague or by post
Have your analogue film professionally developed and scanned at Analog Film Lab by Foto Americaine. We process 35mm and 120 film and selected special film formats in our own photo lab in The Hague.
For colour film, we process C-41, among other processes. Black-and-white film, E-6 slide film and ECN-2 can also be submitted through our film developing service. Available options and current processing details are always listed with the product.
Scans of your film
When ordering film developing, you can choose from the scanning options available for your order. After processing, you receive the digital images according to your selected service, making them easy to view, save and share.
Drop off or post your film
You can drop off your film with us in The Hague or use the 24/7 Film Dropbox. If you do not live nearby, you can also post your film to the lab after ordering film developing online.
Negatives and different film processes
Depending on your order, negatives can be collected or returned by post. E-6 slide film is processed separately in batches and may therefore have a different turnaround time from regular C-41 film.

How film developing works at Analog Film Lab
Having your film developed does not need to be complicated. Choose the right service for your film online, drop off or post your roll to us, and we process it in our photo lab. Here are the main steps.
Select the film format, developing process and available scanning option. Before ordering, check whether you have C-41, black-and-white, E-6 or another supported film.
Bring your film to us in The Hague, use the 24/7 Film Dropbox or post your securely packaged rolls after placing your order.
Your film is developed using the selected process. If scans have been ordered, we then digitise the images according to your chosen scanning service and carry out our usual quality checks.
Your digital scans are delivered according to your chosen service. Where available, you can choose to collect your negatives in The Hague or have them returned by post.
35mm, 120 and special film formats
Many orders consist of 35mm film or 120 medium format film. We also process selected special film formats. As not every format is developed using the same process, it is important to select the correct film type when ordering. Unsure? Contact us beforehand so we can advise which option suits your film.
C-41, black-and-white, E-6 and ECN-2
C-41 is the usual process for colour negative film. Black-and-white film uses a separate process. E-6 is for slide or reversal film and is processed in separate batches at our lab. Current options for supported ECN-2 film are listed in our film developing service. Keeping these processes clearly separated ensures your order follows the right workflow from the start.

Practical information about analogue film developing
Analog Film Lab helps photographers who want their film professionally developed and digitised. Alongside popular 35mm and 120 film, the order service includes options for 110 pocket film, APS and selected larger film formats such as 4×5 inch. As the correct process varies by film type, check the format and developing process on the roll or packaging before ordering.
Scanning with a professional film scanner
When you choose developing and scanning, the negatives are digitised after developing. For regular film, we use professional Noritsu scanning equipment. Choose from the available scanning qualities when ordering. The digital files are delivered online after processing so you can view, archive and share them on your computer or phone. If you need larger files for editing or printing, choose a higher scanning option where available for the film format.
What happens to the negatives?
Your negatives remain important: a digital scan does not replace the original. Depending on your chosen service, you can collect negatives in The Hague or have them returned by post. We recommend storing developed film in a dry, dark and dust-free place. This lets you have another scan or print made later if you want a different size or edit.
Send film by post or drop it off 24/7
Customers throughout the Netherlands can use our film developing service. Order online first, then send your securely packaged rolls with the relevant order details. In The Hague, you can drop off film at Wagenstraat 41 during opening hours. The 24/7 Film Dropbox also allows drop-off outside normal opening hours.
For photographers, businesses and larger volumes
The service is suitable for individual holiday rolls, personal analogue projects and recurring film productions. There is also a B2B page for business customers, schools, photographers and organisations that regularly have larger volumes of film developed. Find information there about partnering with Analog Film Lab and contact us to discuss a suitable workflow.
Current prices, available film formats, scanning options and processing details are always listed on the film developing product page. If you are unsure about an unfamiliar roll, send us a photo or description beforehand to avoid ordering the wrong process.
